Kreuzkapelle

The Kreuzkapelle is located on Brunnenberg and was built in 1877 in the midst of mighty spruces and pines at an elevation of 552 meters above sea level. Their name derives from their basic form of a cross. Built in the forest silence, she is still a popular resting place for hikers and a place of silent prayer for believers.

In 1926, the art sculptor E.C. Lenk from Adorf built a simple altar, with an crucifix also created by him. From 1911 to 1959 forest services were regularly performed here. Since German reunification, the Kreuzkappelle is now used once again for devotions.
